    Hello, my name is Brenda, welcome to Nutrition Matters !  I became interested in canine nutrition about 10 years ago. I breed and raise Great Danes ( visit us at  Nickel Danes)  and started to raw feed at that time.  I also became very interested in holistic approaches as well as homeopathy.  Because I was so passionate about these subjects, I decided to open an all natural pet supply store called The Divine Canine.  I saw hands on the effects of poor nutrition in our canine companions. I owned and operated my store until 2007 when I decided to close prior to the birth of my third child.  We continued a home delivery service for the customers that I switched to raw feeding or to holistic/organic kibble.  Additionally, I continued to conduct raw feeding seminars.  In 2011 we moved from Cape Cod, MA to South Carolina. 

  I understand that raw feeding or home cooking is not for every pet owner, or the ideal diet for every pet, so I became a student at the Companion Animal Sciences Institute having graduated their canine nutrition program with a mark of distinction award.

  I am devoted to teaching pet owners how to feed their companions with better nutrition.
